We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. Job Responsibility:
Process payroll using Viewpoint Vista software, ensuring accurate time reporting and wage calculations
Audit, reconcile, and resolve payroll issues for assigned payroll groups across multiple companies
Prepare and submit weekly certified payroll reports
Handle paycheck adjustments and ensure compliance with garnishments, tax withholdings, and company deductions
Set up new employees in the HH2 time tracking system and maintain cash fringe templates
Manage union dues processing and submittal for Local 60 and 247 employees
Track, audit, and approve federal paid sick leave requests, ensuring accurate accrual balances
Generate ad-hoc payroll payments and assist with payroll-related reporting tasks
Collaborate with the Controller to support monthly payroll taxes, balance sheet reconciliations, and inventory management
Contribute to special accounting projects and financial reporting as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
5+ years of payroll processing experience, including multi-state payroll
Proficiency in Viewpoint Vista software and advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach
Ability to work independently and meet strict payroll deadlines under pressure
Experience handling payroll for over 500 employees is highly desirable
Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with sensitivity and discretion
Nice to have:
Certified Payroll certification (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) preferred but not required
