We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team in Greenville, South Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate across departments and contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll operations.
Job Responsibility:
Process regular and off-cycle payrolls with precision and efficiency, ensuring all transactions are completed on time
Manage employee lifecycle payroll transactions, including onboarding, terminations, pay adjustments, and deductions
Verify payroll inputs for accuracy and completeness before submission to ensure data integrity
Conduct validations on payroll data, including earnings, deductions, and time entries, for compliance and accuracy
Handle payroll corrections, retroactive adjustments, reversals, and manual calculations when necessary
Maintain organized payroll documentation and audit materials to support compliance efforts
Assist with multi-state payroll processing, including the setup and maintenance of employee tax forms
Collaborate with payroll leadership to resolve discrepancies and perform reconciliations
Provide thorough and timely assistance to employees regarding payroll inquiries, deductions, and tax-related questions
Support testing and implementation of payroll system updates and enhancements in partnership with HR and IT teams
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience, ideally in a multi-state environment
Proficiency in payroll systems
experience with SAP SuccessFactors is highly desirable
Familiarity with payroll audits, reconciliations, deductions, garnishments, and basic tax concepts
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling payroll operations
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration and employee support
Adaptability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume payroll environments while adhering to policies and regulations
