We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to manage payroll operations for over 1,500 employees across multiple states. This contract position plays a vital role in processing accurate and timely payroll on both bi-weekly and bi-monthly schedules, ensuring full compliance with all applicable regulations.
Job Responsibility:
Process bi-weekly and bi-monthly payroll for a multi-state workforce, meeting strict deadlines and accuracy standards
Maintain and update employee payroll data, including deductions, direct deposits, and tax withholdings
Review and audit time and attendance records to ensure correct payroll calculations
Manage payroll-related reports, including early earned wage access and personnel action forms
Administer garnishments, child support, and other required payroll deductions
Review pre- and post-payroll reports, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed
Collaborate with HR and Finance on monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting
Monitor and process accruals and payouts in line with company policy
Build and sustain effective vendor relationships to support payroll operations
Respond to payroll inquiries, resolving issues promptly and professionally
Requirements:
Proven experience managing full-cycle payroll for large employee groups
Expertise in multi-state payroll processes and compliance requirements
Proficiency in using Paycom or similar payroll systems
Strong knowledge of garnishment calculations and special payroll deductions
Ability to handle payroll functions for organizations with over 1,000 employees
Skilled in processing bi-weekly payroll and reconciling discrepancies
Experience in preparing detailed and accurate ad hoc payroll reports
Excellent organizational and communication skills to handle payroll inquiries effectively
