We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team in Torrance, California. This is a 2 month contract position offering an excellent opportunity to manage payroll operations for government projects while ensuring compliance with certified payroll standards. The role requires a high level of attention to detail and proficiency in QuickBooks payroll processes.
Job Responsibility:
Manage payroll processing for a team of 5-10 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Handle certified payroll operations specifically for government contracts
Utilize QuickBooks to execute full-cycle payroll tasks effectively
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes
Address payroll discrepancies and provide resolutions promptly
Collaborate with other departments to streamline payroll processes
Prepare detailed reports related to payroll activities and certifications
Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations
Assist with multi-state payroll as needed
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration
Proficiency in QuickBooks, specifically managing certified payroll processes
CPP designation is highly preferred
Strong understanding of payroll compliance for government contracts
Familiarity with multi-state payroll operations
Experience managing payroll for teams of 101-500 employees
Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is a plus
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
