Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll & Accounts Payable Clerk to support payroll processing and payables operations for a busy team in West Hills, California. This contract position with permanent potential is ideal for someone who can manage payroll accurately for a mid-sized employee population while also handling invoice review and payment coordination. The right candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of payroll practices, and hands-on experience working with accounts payable processes.

Job Responsibility

  • Process end-to-end payroll for a workforce of approximately 101 to 500 employees, ensuring accuracy and timely completion each cycle
  • Maintain payroll records, review timesheet and earnings data, and resolve discrepancies before final submission
  • Administer payroll deductions and garnishments in compliance with company policy and applicable regulations
  • Use ADP Workforce Now to enter, audit, and update payroll information and employee payment details
  • Review vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and complete three-way matching before payment approval
  • Prepare and process accounts payable transactions, including coding invoices and coordinating timely disbursements
  • Reconcile payroll and accounts payable records to support accurate reporting and month-end close activities
  • Communicate with employees, vendors, and internal departments to answer questions and address payment-related issues

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in payroll processing, accounts payable, or a closely related accounting support role
  • Practical experience managing full-cycle payroll for an employee population ranging from 101 to 500 employees
  • Working knowledge of payroll garnishments, deductions, and payroll record maintenance
  • Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now for payroll administration
  • Background in accounts payable, including invoice processing and three-way matching
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive financial and employee information confidentially
  • Proficiency in reviewing data for accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and meeting recurring deadlines
