We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to manage payroll operations for a multi-state workforce. This role requires expertise in full-cycle payroll, tax reporting, and familiarity with Dayforce or similar HCM payroll systems. This is a long-term contract position based in Woburn, Massachusetts.
Job Responsibility:
Manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations
Process multi-state payroll for employees, adhering to varying state-specific requirements
Utilize Dayforce to handle payroll operations efficiently and troubleshoot any system-related issues
Prepare and submit payroll tax reports, ensuring timely and accurate filings
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly and professionally
Review and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy before processing
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to support payroll-related audits and reporting
Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance
Requirements:
Proven experience with full-cycle payroll processing, including multi-state payroll management
Proficiency in using Dayforce for payroll operations
Strong knowledge of payroll tax reporting requirements and compliance
Familiarity with federal, state, and local payroll laws
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills to address payroll-related inquiries effectively
Ability to manage deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment
