Job Description:

A permanent employment opportunity for a Payroll Accountant located in Metairie, Louisiana. The position involves managing multi-state manual payroll, preparing payroll tax returns, and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.

Job Responsibility:

Manage the accurate and timely processing of the company's payroll
Handle multi-state SUTA and FUTA
Liaise with the HR department to implement payroll procedures
Prepare and upload payroll tax returns
Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws
Troubleshoot any payroll discrepancies and rectify them
Review and implement improvements to payroll policies and procedures
Administer multi-state payroll duties
Oversee the execution of in-house, manual payroll for employees, including both hourly-wage and salaried personnel

Requirements:

Proficiency in Accounting Functions
Experience with bi-Monthly Payroll processing
Knowledge in Full Cycle Payroll operations
Familiarity with Multi-state Payroll
Capability to handle Payroll for 101 - 500 Employees
Proficiency in managing Payroll - Manual
Expertise in Payroll - In-House
Ability to file Payroll Tax Returns
Experience in processing Bi-weekly Payroll
