The Payment Product Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic development, commercialization, and management of innovative offerings within the Payments space for the country. This position requires an analytical and proactive individual focused on managing all elements of the product development lifecycle. understanding and translating complex regulations, writing business requirements and collaborating closely with technology and operations for seamless product delivery while managing all governance related aspects. The role involves close collaboration with various cross-functional teams, including Operations, Technology, Sales, and Compliance, and is instrumental in defining and executing the product lifecycle from conceptualization to launch and ongoing management.
Job Responsibility:
Drive payment product development and management for the country identifying and assessing relevant customer, competitor, and industry insights to define strategies for revenue growth
Provide strategic insight and recommendations on innovative payment product development, targeting, and segmentation strategies, overseeing the product development lifecycle, market demands, technology trends, and the competitive landscape
Manage all elements of the product development life cycle from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization, ensuring a structured approach to product evolution
Lead the implementation of new FMIs (Financial Market Infrastructures) and schemes, ensuring smooth integration and compliance
Create epics and detailed business requirements, translating strategic objectives and regulatory requirements into actionable development tasks for technology teams
Assess current system capabilities and collaborate closely with technology teams on solutioning, identifying optimal technical approaches for new product features and enhancements
Collaborate closely with Operations and Technology teams on new payment product rollouts, enhancements, and process improvements, ensuring seamless execution
Review new and existing regulations, conduct thorough impact assessments, and develop comprehensive action plans to ensure continuous compliance
Manage and deliver regulatory projects within strict timelines, ensuring adherence to all applicable local and international payment regulations
Oversee product financial performance, identifying opportunities and gaps, and developing robust business strategies to drive portfolio growth and profitability
Maintain comprehensive product documentation, capability grids, policies, and procedures, ensuring full compliance with local regulatory requirements and governance approvals
Act as a subject matter expert for payment products, providing guidance and training to internal stakeholders and contributing to client engagement
Engage directly with regulatory bodies and scheme organizations, representing the firm's interests and ensuring alignment with industry standards
Proactively assess and manage product risk, ensuring compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and internal policies, demonstrating sound ethical judgment and escalating control issues transparently
Requirements:
At minimum 4 years of relevant experience in product management or product development within the financial services industry preferably within GCC markets
Demonstrated knowledge of payment product development, financial analysis, and product management principles
Proven experience in driving business innovation, leveraging management information, and data analytics to achieve results
Experience working with technology and operations teams on new product rollouts and process improvements, including assessing system capabilities and contributing to solutioning
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, scheme rulebooks, specifications, and governance approval processes relevant to payment products in the country
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, market trends, and regulatory requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely, including creating detailed business requirements and delivering client pitches
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated influencing skills, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, regulatory bodies, and scheme organizations
Bachelor's degree or University degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
