Job Description:

The Product Conformance Monitoring Manager is a senior level position responsible for managing Business monitoring programs, setting strategy, and providing direction, leadership and subject matter expertise. As part of the Product Conformance Monitoring team within Payment Services, this role will be responsible for the development of Product conformance (AML-driven) and Fraud detection capabilities and E2E operating model strategies. The overall objective of this role is to develop the required capabilities to ensure Citi is meeting its AML and Fraud-related Regulatory obligations, internal policy requirements and to monitor our Clients' adherence to Risk appetite, in turn supporting the continued growth of the Payments organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for defining and executing Citi Payments financial crime monitoring strategies
  • Serve as Business Owner of the High Risk Flows Business Monitoring programs (AML)
  • Serve as Business Owner of the Business Fraud Monitoring programs
  • Oversee maintenance of current Payment Intermediary Product Conformance monitoring program and optimization of solution and operating model
  • Partner with 2nd line of defense, Financial Crime Controls team and Business consumers in defining the strategic monitoring programs
  • Partner with Capability Owner in vendor selection and monitoring logic design, employing AI capabilities where appropriate
  • Partner with Operations in defining new / enhancing existing operating models
  • Responsible for regulatory obligations and policy interpretation to create monitoring rules, settings and tolerances, defining risk-based approaches in conjunction with 2nd line of defense
  • Work with 2nd line of defense to identify emerging risk probes
  • Scan the external environment for industry and regulatory insights to enable the best-in-class controls for Payments product offerings
  • Engage with Business groups and Clients to ensure alignment on operating model and client experience
  • Manage strategic program roadmap, development, launch, and marketing to gain maximum benefit from each product
  • Drive client value propositions and competitive differentiation to achieve preferred status as a partner to Citi clients
  • Develop plans and execute functional strategies for a country, multiple countries, region, or business requiring coordination and integration across units
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of program life cycle management including market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field
  • Lead innovation by working with external partners/alliances to develop products, manage ongoing relationships, exercise control over resources, policy formation, and planning, and prepare agreements

Requirements:

  • 8+ years experience in Financial crime risk management and/or Payments
  • Requires detailed Payments product and industry knowledge across Payment intermediary products and use cases
  • Specialist knowledge in Payment Intermediary Financial Crime controls
  • Familiar with Data management (e.g. data sourcing, manipulation, and verification)
  • Familiar with Excel, VBA, SQL, and other simple programming languages
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
