Wells Fargo is seeking a Payments Lead Technology Business Systems Consultant to join the Global Payments & Liquidity Treasury Technology organization. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering high‑impact technology initiatives by partnering closely with business and technology stakeholders. You will translate complex business needs into scalable, enterprise‑grade solutions that support strategic payments modernization initiatives across the firm.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead complex initiatives to deliver scalable technology solutions with broad impact across cross‑functional business and technology teams

  • Define and validate end‑to‑end integration flows, APIs, and data movement across complex upstream and downstream systems
  • Ensure data accuracy, traceability, and consistency across end‑to‑end payment processing workflows
  • Drive production readiness by validating functional outcomes, operational handoffs, and deployment considerations
  • Support post‑release monitoring, incident triage, and continuous improvement efforts in partnership with support teams
  • Provide functional and technical leadership across matrixed teams, influencing outcomes without direct authority

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Business Systems Data and Business Systems Designing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of experience in technical and business analysis with a strong focus on payments initiatives in the financial services industry
  • 3+ years of payments domain experience, including payments processing lifecycle, payments rails, and ISO 20022
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud‑native technologies and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Demonstrated experience working with geographically dispersed teams across the United States and India
  • Experience in performing acceptance testing to validate solutions against defined business requirements
  • Experience working in Agile delivery models (Scrum or Kanban) within large enterprise environments

Nice to have:

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex data and scenarios
  • Experience applying AI‑based techniques for data analysis is a strong plus
