Job Description

The Payments Development Representative is responsible for driving adoption of Tekmetric Payments within our existing customer base. This role focuses exclusively on engaging current Tekmetric users who have not yet activated our integrated payments experience. You will contact shops, share the operational value of switching to integrated payments, qualify interest, and book attended demos with our Payments Specialists.

Job Responsibility

  • Contact existing Tekmetric customers to educate them on the integrated payments experience and drive demo attendance
  • Manage a high volume of outbound calls and Outreach sequences using a prioritized list provided by Payments leadership
  • Book attended demos with Payments Specialists and ensure clear, accurate handoffs
  • Maintain clean and detailed records in Salesforce for every account touch
  • Support the customer journey by following structured outreach, reminders, and follow ups
  • Provide insights from conversations to improve targeting, messaging, and activation workflows
  • Collaborate daily with Payments Specialists, Fintech leadership, Demand Gen, and Sales Development
  • Ensure every customer receives a positive and consistent Tekmetric experience
  • Assist with onboarding coordination for shops that self sign up for integrated payments

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in payments sales, merchant services, or sales development
  • Strong understanding of outbound sales motions in a quota environment
  • Proven ability to handle objections with shop owners and decision makers
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer first mindset
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high volume book of business
  • Experience using Salesforce or equivalent CRM
  • Ability to collaborate cross functionally with Sales, Operations, and Fintech

Nice to have

  • Experience selling or supporting merchant services or fintech solutions
  • Ability to read and understand merchant statements
  • Experience calling into an existing customer base
