Job Description:

We are recruiting for a Payment Services Analyst to join a dynamic operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career in financial operations. While experience in financial services or a similar environment would be advantageous, this role is also suitable for recent graduates with strong analytical and organisational skills.

Job Responsibility:

  • Process client payment instructions accurately and on time
  • Handle Sterling and foreign currency payments using standard mechanisms (e.g., Faster Payments, CHAPS, SWIFT)
  • Perform reconciliations and support treasury functions, including foreign exchange and money market deals
  • Implement fraud prevention measures across all payment types
  • Ensure service level agreements are met and contribute to process improvements and change projects
  • Provide support and cover for colleagues when required

Requirements:

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Good computer literacy and keyboard skills
  • A proactive team player with a desire to learn and develop
  • Previous experience in banking or payment processing is desirable but not essential
