Job Description:

We are seeking a highly accurate and detail‑driven Posting Specialist with strong finance/insurance experience to join our team. This role is responsible for posting payments, reconciling accounts, verifying financial and insurance data, and ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and promptly. Strong Excel skills are essential for success in this position.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review, verify, and post financial and insurance‑related payments into the accounting or billing system
  • Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and in the correct accounts
  • Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly financial activity
  • Identify discrepancies in payments, adjustments, or insurance remittances and resolve issues promptly
  • Research posting errors and work with internal teams or external partners to correct entries
  • Maintain detailed posting logs, spreadsheets, and reporting documents
  • Communicate with billing, finance, insurance carriers, or internal departments as needed
  • Prepare Excel reports using formulas, pivot tables, filters, and data validation tools
  • Support month‑end closing processes
  • Adhere to company policies, compliance standards, and financial controls
  • High level of accuracy and organization
  • Comfort working with financial and insurance data
  • Strong analytical skills

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • Experience in finance, accounting, insurance billing, or payment posting (preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including: Pivot tables
  • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
  • Formulas and functions
  • Sorting, filtering, and data clean‑up
  • Experience with accounting, billing, or insurance payment systems
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and follow‑up skills
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to analyze discrepancies
