The Payments Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time, researching and resolving issues, and handling regulatory and internal projects. The role demands expertise in payment processing platforms, leadership, and knowledge of banking regulations and operational best practices.
Job Responsibility:
Actively leads \ participates in regulatory and non-regulatory projects ensuring business requirements are understood and agreed by Change team and Technology
Identifying potential problems and points of friction and finding solutions to maximize efficiency
Identify and eliminate manual and bespoke processes to eliminate associated inherent risks
Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures for efficient operations
Collaborate cross-departmentally to align operations with organizational objectives
Analyze data to identify process improvement opportunities and cost savings
Create customized transaction services reports based on data analysis
Monitor and research errors to ensure adherence to audit and control policies
Resolve transaction services issues and use technical expertise/judgment to conduct complex analysis
Anticipate and respond to requests for transaction deliverables from internal and external clients and vendors
Develop and recommend strategic decisions based off in-depth comprehension of how the payments operations team interacts with others business units in accomplishing objectives
Assist with providing informal guidance or on-the-job-training to new team members as required
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in the banking sector or financial industries, specifically in payments operations and cash management operations
Knowledge in ACH \ RTGS \ SWIFT payments and ISO 20022 standards
Excellent verbal communication skills with a strong command of the English language
Effective relationship management skills to liaise with various internal teams, regulators and external partners
Proven leadership competencies, including team management, decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic thinking
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
Knowledge of relevant banking regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices
Proficiency with payment processing platforms, cash management systems, and related technology tools
