We are looking for an experienced Payment Operations Specialist to join our team in Sofia. You will be working closely with our Product, Engineering, Support and Implementations teams to drive operational excellence and solve payment-related issues. You will have the opportunity to experience fast-paced company growth with a start-up mindset operating in the SaaS and Fintech industries.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor the payments engine and resolve issues related to card acceptance and bank transactions by coordinating with issuers, processors, vendors, and other external partners
Drive operational excellence and risk mitigation across payment processes, support customer lifecycle events with partners, and resolve card delivery issues in collaboration with Support
Oversee the end-to-end chargeback lifecycle (scheme submissions, payouts, and ledger reconciliation) and manage operational client offboarding, including final fund disbursements and bank account closures
Manage card inventory and logistics (e.g. stock, holograms, envelopes), and improve Straight Through Processing performance in partnership with Payments, Product, and Compliance teams
Maintain the knowledge base of payment operations
Act as a point of contact between card schemes and our banking partners
Collaborate with key stakeholders for any payment operations projects
Oversee liquidity across all settlement accounts by currency, ensuring efficient processing with all banking partners
Requirements:
+2 years of experience in a Payments or related role
Previous experience in compliance, payments, banking, or a related field
Deep understanding of various payment mechanisms, including SEPA, FPS, ACH, SWIFT, and others
Familiarity with card issuing protocols of major networks such as Visa
Experience in a fast-scaling, high-velocity, and dynamic environment, ideally with a track record of successfully building processes from scratch
Strong analytical and organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail
Great communication and English language skills
Nice to have:
Previous experience in compliance, payments, banking, or a related field
Good understanding of the SaaS industry and venture-backed businesses
