Job Description

As a Pattern Repair team member at ASC, you will work in the Pattern Shop and have the opportunity to repair and maintain the upkeep of all Foundry Patterns and Core Boxes. You will work closely with the Pattern Shop Supervisor and Journeyman Pattern Makers.

Job Responsibility

  • General repair and upkeep of Foundry Patterns and Core Boxes
  • Using hand tools (drills, wrenches, etc…)
  • Cutting metals and plastics using mills, lathes and saws
  • Sanding, polishing and deburring parts
  • Communicating with Journeyman Pattern Makers
  • Utilizing measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers etc…)
  • Machine maintenance (cleaning, greasing/oiling manual equipment)
  • Monitoring various Pattern Shop supplies and inventory
  • Obtaining items from the Storeroom
  • Maintaining a weekly log of work performed
  • Assorted undertakings deemed appropriate by the Pattern Shop Supervisor or Journeyman Pattern Makers

Requirements

  • Requires standing up to 10 hours per day
  • Repetitive use of both hands and feet up to 10 hours per day
  • Constant awareness of surrounding
  • Employee must be able to obtain a tow motor license and successfully pass LOTO and confined space training

  • Perform shipping/receiving administrative duties (filing, prepare reports, clerical tasks)
  • Coordinate raw materials deliveries for production as needed by site

  • Coordinate with Customer Service to make sure enough product is available for the required ship date
  • Perform daily verification of raw materials, concentrates, ingredients, packaging materials and pallets to ensure successful completion of the upcoming production schedule as needed by site
