Relevant Qualifications: PSV, HGV, or light vehicle maintenance and repair (minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent)
5+ years of relevant hands-on experience if not formally qualified
Full UK Driving License: Must have a valid UK driving license with no more than 6 points
PCV License: A PCV license is preferred, or you must be willing to obtain one
Medical Fitness: Ability to pass a PCV pre-employment medical

Job Responsibility

Perform planned and preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and reactive repairs on a fleet of commercial buses
Ensure that all vehicle servicing, inspections, and repairs meet Arriva and DVSA standards
Assist with MOT preparation, preventative maintenance campaigns, and quality checks
Improve bus reliability through continuous monitoring, maintenance, and repair

Job Responsibility

Carry out any repairs and remedy any defects to Unite Students properties as instructed by Facilities Managers and Team Leaders
Deliver planned preventative maintenance and responsive repairs
Ensure the delivery of safe, warm, working homes to customers
Adhere to Health and Safety legislation, and a safe and secure working environment
Accountable for the quality of the maintenance and repair work delivered
Ensure that the work delivered meets the correct Unite Students standard
Carry out dynamic risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment and escalating issues to line management
Complete all digital job tickets required for the works delivered, raising follow on works orders where necessary and to be compliant with Unite Students policies and procedures
Accountable for raising any maintenance, repair concerns identified when performing assigned tasks
