This position is responsible for protecting all Tribal owned properties against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry by performing security functions. Officers will enforce Tribal, Federal, and State policies, ordinances, and laws. Will respond to a variety of calls for service to protect tribal members, patrons, and employees. Job Responsibility
Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement
Deliver our Five Star Experience to Guests and all Team Members by embodying our Mission Statement and Service Promise while adhering to department service standards
Provide protection to Tribal members, Tribal property, guests, and employees
Document suspicious persons and/or activities on prescribed departmental forms
Respond to all calls for service on Tribal owned property and enforce policies, ordinances and laws
Inspect assigned areas for security and/or safety breaches and report any potential situations to the Sergeant or their designee
Investigate accidents, crimes, injuries and author reports pertaining to such incidents
Record data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment, for use of supervisory staff
Regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic at Tribal properties and their Enterprises to maintain orderly flow
Provide preliminary first aid until Public Safety EMT / Paramedic arrives or local First Responders arrive
Issue parking and traffic violation warnings
Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS)
Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required
Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment
Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Conduct vehicle enforcement when necessary
Ensure all Tribal Dispensaries and Enterprises are safe and secure
Assist local law enforcement agencies when requested
Requirements
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Should possess 1-year related experience and/or training
or equivalent combination of education and experience
Prior law enforcement or patrol experience (highly desired)
Must pass periodic random drug screens
Must be able to pass background suitability investigation
Must have a valid California Driver’s License
Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses
Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment
Must obtain and maintain CPR First Aid Certification and AED
Must possess and maintain a Bureau of Security and Investigative Services Guard Card
Must possess and maintain a Bureau of Security and Investigative Services Exposed Firearms Permit
Must possess a Baton certification
Must possess a Pepper Spray certification
Must be able to complete the Department training program
