We are looking for a Patient Support Associate to join our team in Marietta, Georgia. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring seamless patient registration and support within a non-profit clinical setting. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering the opportunity to grow while contributing to a patient-centered and collaborative environment.
Job Responsibility:
Engage with patients and prospective patients, providing information about chiropractic care and the services offered by the clinic
Maintain attentive and pleasant interactions with student interns, faculty, and patients to foster a welcoming environment
Schedule follow-up appointments during patient check-out and manage the completion and organization of patient forms and files
Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances, ensuring accurate payment posting and providing receipts to patients
Reconcile daily transactions, balancing individual receipts with system reports to ensure financial accuracy
Keep patient files, visit forms, and records organized, accurate, and accessible while maintaining confidentiality
Coordinate patient records with other clinic departments, adhering to regulatory standards and privacy policies
Support the preparation of clinic reports as needed, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Maintain a clean and orderly office environment, addressing any equipment issues promptly
Take on additional tasks and special projects as directed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the clinic
Requirements:
Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of a high school diploma and five years of relevant experience
Minimum of two years’ experience in a chiropractic clinic, business office, or similar clinical setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with electronic health records systems
Strong customer service skills with the ability to anticipate and respond effectively to patient needs
Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and demonstrate initiative
Experience managing multi-line phone systems and assisting customers with careful attention to detail
Nice to have:
Knowledge of university policies and procedures is a plus, especially in a clinical or academic environment
