Job Description:

The Patient Services Representative II provides patient-families with a positive experience at CHLA by performing clerical tasks primarily associated with answering incoming calls, registration, and patient check-in/out procedures, collection of patient co-pay or deductibles, scheduling and verifying patient appointments. Completes financial clearance and authorization duties, serves as the administrative support for assigned providers. Works closely with assigned providers to ensure follow up care is completed. Assists with creation and review of divisional performance reports and metrics.

Job Responsibility:

Requirements:

  • One year experience in customer service, preferably in a medical front office setting
  • Basic knowledge of computers, filing and organizational skills required
  • Ability to deal effectively with the public
  • High school diploma or GED required

Nice to have:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • 3+ years in medical office setting
  • Insurance and insurance processing knowledge
  • Healthcare experience
