We are now looking for a Patient Services Manager to join us on a permanent, part-time basis, working 30 hours per week. The shift pattern for this role is as follows: Monday: 08:00 - 12:30 13:30 - 17:00; Tuesday: 08:00 - 12:30 13:30 - 17:00; Wednesday: 08:30 - 12:30 13:30 - 18:30; Thursday: 08:30 - 13:30.
Job Responsibility
Day-to-day management of the reception function
Ensuring patient services activities are delivered efficiently and effectively
Working closely with patients, colleagues and healthcare professionals to deal with their queries
Handling enquiries face-to-face or via telephone
Handling all requests for information sensitively and following practice policies and relevant legislation
Overseeing recruitment and training
Ensuring high performance and professional development
Contributing to the practice as a member of the Senior Management Team
Resolving operational challenges across the practice
Managing staff rotas and leave arrangements
Conducting appraisals and identifying training and development needs
Organising and chairing Patient Services team meetings
Monitoring patient demand and supporting appointment capacity planning
Supporting the development and implementation of team procedures
Handling first-line patient complaints and escalating issues where appropriate
Requirements
Experience in a similar reception management role, ideally within a healthcare setting
Experience of line management
Effective communication skills

Salary of £29,111 per annum for 30 hours, rising to £33,198 per annum after probation
