To provide efficient, effective, quality customer service and practice support through a variety of general office duties including scheduling, coding, registration and billing. Maximize revenues by collecting payment at time of service and entering accurate and up-to-date billing information (address, insurance coverage, etc.) into the patient accounting system. Assists clinical staff in maintaining accurate medical records.
Job Responsibility:

Assist clinical staff in maintaining accurate medical records
Greet and accurately register patients in EMR system verifying essential billing and demographic information
Coordinate scheduling of patient appointments accurately and efficiently
Answer multiple incoming telephone lines
Distribute communications accurately
Resolve a variety of patient questions
Schedule future appointments and requisitions, laboratory tests, radiology procedures and other special diagnostic tests
Notify patient care area when patient has arrived
Accurately identify type of insurance from card
Review encounter forms for accuracy and completeness
Enter patient charges into the EMR system
Ensure the availability of properly prepared patient medical records, daily schedules and related forms
Maintain medical record including loose filing and re-filing of charts daily
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
One to two years related customer service experience
