Patient Service Representative

• Conduct patient consultations to review financial responsibilities, explain financial policies, and set clear expectations regarding payment protocols
• Verify and document patient insurance benefits and update patient progress notes
• Provide patients with cost estimates for upcoming treatments
• Collect estimated patient liabilities and accurately apply payments to patient accounts throughout the treatment plan
• Allocate and post payments appropriately once cleared
• Run and compile weekly reconciliation reports to ensure patient financial obligations are accurately tracked and fulfilled
• Review patient accounts efficiently, identify outstanding balances, and follow up with finance teams on claims, insurance issues, and patient correspondence
• Respond to patient calls and correspondence regarding billing questions, financial policies, and claims submissions
• Exercise sound judgment and decision‑making to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and quality outcomes

• Associate’s degree or higher is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is essential
• Experience with electronic healthcare records systems is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and with a sense of urgency
• At least three years of experience in a related field is required
