The Patient Resource Navigator will provide the Hemophilia B community with comprehensive, personalized support and education on gene therapy throughout the patient's journey. This individual will serve as a high-value source of information about gene therapy and will offer support and guidance to potential candidates for gene-therapy. The Patient Resource Navigator will educate patients, HCPs, and members of the bleeding disorders community regarding gene therapy as be part of a coordinated, field-based, regionally aligned team designed to represent CSL Behring to patients.
Job Responsibility:
Educate patients on required steps that need to be taken prior to receiving treatment and provide information about CSL Behring patient support offerings
Liaison between and hemophilia treatment centers, with CSL patient support case managers, , other CSL functions in order to ensure comprehensive patient support throughout treatment journey
Serve as a familiar point of contact for patients throughout their gene therapy journey
Respond to patient inquiries in order to promote transparency and foster understanding of the science of gene therapy
Provide in-depth education to patients who are interested in learning more about gene therapy
Educate patients/caregivers on CSL hemophilia products and services to promote a well-balanced understanding of treatment options and available support services through telephone communication, live/virtual patient and family meetings, and patient education programs
Be a subject matter expert on all of the programs and services that CSL Behring provides to patients within the bleeding disorders community
Help to foster a positive relationship between CSL Behring and key stakeholders
Report key insights and feedback from patient community
Meet key performance indicators that are critical to delivering on the role's educational function
Abide by all SOPs and guidance related to ethical interactions with consumers and healthcare providers
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in business/marketing or science discipline
Minimum 5-7 years of experience of working in a hemophilia treatment center, patient-related organization or health care system
Background in social work, public health, nursing, etc.
Experience with patient advocate-type responsibilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Nice to have:
Experience with the Bleeding Disorders Community strongly preferred
