Job Description:

We are seeking several detail-oriented individuals to join our client's team. As part of their team, you will have the opportunity to cross-train in the OB Department, providing a unique growth opportunity. This role will require delivering excellent customer service, interpreting physician orders, coordinating patient needs, maintaining inventory, and performing other assigned duties. We have a variety of positions available, both full time and part time, across different shifts. These roles offer a contract-to-hire opportunity for candidates who prove to be the right fit. Please note our client is looking to hire for several shifts including 1st and 3rd shift openings.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform registration and basic insurance verification in the ER department
  • Identify and update patient demographic information on ADT systems
  • Interpret physician orders for appropriate testing or admission criteria
  • Coordinate patient admission needs and beds assignment
  • Identify non-participating Insurances or Out of Networks plans
  • Obtain Insurance Card copies or validate insurance information
  • Provide courteous and accurate patient and hospital information
  • Prepare documents for imaging/scanning into electronic patient record
  • Explains processes and forms to patients prior to securing signatures
  • Assemble and disassemble patient charts or departmental documents
  • Copying and or faxing documents to ancillary areas or physician offices
  • Maintain inventory control of forms and paper supplies
  • Assist with all possible account resolutions pertaining to patient balances
  • Perform all other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Customer service experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent typing skills
  • Ability to navigate between multiple systems simultaneously
