Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Patient Registration team member to support front-end patient access operations in an OUTDOOR healthcare setting. This long-term contract opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys helping patients, coordinating appointments, and ensuring accurate registration and insurance information in a healthcare setting. The person in this role will serve as a key point of contact for patients while maintaining organized and compliant intake processes.

Job Responsibility

  • Welcome patients courteously and guide them through registration and check-in procedures
  • Collect, review, and update demographic, contact, and coverage details to maintain accurate patient records
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations while helping patients understand next steps
  • Verify medical insurance information and confirm eligibility before services are provided
  • Answer patient questions related to registration, scheduling, and required documentation in a clear and courteous manner
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow established healthcare office policies and procedures
  • Work with clinical and administrative staff to resolve registration issues and support smooth patient flow

Requirements

  • Prior experience in patient registration, patient access, or a similar healthcare front-desk role
  • Ability to assist patients with professionalism, empathy, and strong customer service skills
  • Experience scheduling appointments in a medical or healthcare environment
  • Working knowledge of medical insurance verification and eligibility review
  • Strong attention to detail when entering and updating patient information
  • Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with patients and staff
  • Basic computer proficiency and comfort using registration or scheduling systems
