We are looking for a detail-oriented Patient Registration team member to support a healthcare team in French Camp, California. This is an evening role and does require some weekends. This Long-term Contract position focuses on creating an efficient and welcoming registration experience by gathering accurate patient information, confirming coverage details, and helping individuals navigate the intake process. The ideal candidate is organized, service-oriented, and confident handling insurance-related documentation in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Job Responsibility
Collect demographic and registration details from patients or authorized family members and enter the information accurately into hospital records systems
Review intake documents for completeness, resolve missing information, and help maintain accurate patient account data
Confirm insurance, Medi-Cal, and related coverage by examining identification cards, labels, and supporting eligibility records
Associate patient accounts with the correct financial classifications to support proper billing and reimbursement workflows
Communicate registration guidelines, departmental procedures, and applicable policies in a clear and thorough manner
Guide patients to the correct clinic, office, or treatment area based on their service needs and appointment information
Support appointment coordination and maintain organized registration-related tracking processes when needed
Requirements
Prior experience in patient registration within a hospital, clinic, or similar healthcare setting
Demonstrated background in insurance verification and patient eligibility review
Working knowledge of medical insurance processes, including Medi-Cal or comparable government-sponsored coverage
Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to explain procedures and requirements clearly while delivering excellent patient service
Comfortable reviewing documentation, resolving discrepancies, and handling confidential information appropriately
Flexibility to work varying schedules based on departmental needs
