We are looking for a detail-oriented Patient Registration team member to support a healthcare team in California. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who is organized, patient-focused, and confident working with registration and insurance-related processes in a clinical setting. The person in this role will help ensure accurate intake documentation, clear communication with patients and families, and timely coordination of registration activities.
Job Responsibility:
Gather demographic and account details from patients or family members and enter information accurately into the hospital registration system
Review intake documentation for completeness and resolve missing or inconsistent details before processing records
Confirm insurance, Medi-Cal, and other coverage information by checking identification cards, labels, and eligibility records
Align patient account information with the correct financial classifications to support proper billing and registration accuracy
Explain registration guidelines, healthcare policies, and required procedures so patients understand next steps and expectations
Guide patients to the correct clinic, office, or treatment area based on the services they need
Support appointment-related tracking or coordination processes as needed within the clinic environment
Maintain a detail-oriented and service-oriented approach when assisting patients, families, and internal healthcare staff.
Requirements:
Prior experience in patient registration within a healthcare or hospital setting
Hands-on background in insurance verification, including medical insurance and patient eligibility review
Working knowledge of Medi-Cal or similar coverage validation processes
Strong data entry skills with careful attention to accuracy and completeness
Ability to communicate policies and procedures clearly to patients and family members
Comfortable assisting diverse patient populations in a fast-paced clinical environment
Flexibility to work assigned schedules based on department needs.
