Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Patient Registration Specialist to provide outstanding customer service while supporting critical hospital operations during the night shift. This is a temporary role covering a maternity leave from August to approximately September / October.

Job Responsibility:

Patient Registration: Efficiently register patients, collect personal and insurance information, and ensure all forms are complete
Switchboard Operations: Manage incoming calls, transfer calls to appropriate departments, and address general inquiries
Data Entry & Scanning: Accurately enter data into systems and scan identification cards, insurance documents, and other paperwork
Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to patients, visitors, and staff by proactively addressing their needs
Administrative Support: Organize and maintain electronic records and assist with other clerical tasks as needed

Requirements:

Previous experience in patient registration, intake, or a similar role in healthcare is preferred
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
Proficiency in computer systems and software
experience with hospital registration systems is a plus
High attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and the ability to work independently
Availability to begin work in late April/early May for training
