We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Patient Registration Specialist on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring seamless patient intake processes and supporting efficient healthcare operations. This position is based in Boston, Massachusetts, and offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment.
Job Responsibility:
Process new patient intakes and inpatient admissions accurately and efficiently
Coordinate with outpatient clinics and care managers to place orders and facilitate same-day scheduling
Collaborate with referring providers to ensure a smooth transition from referral to appointment scheduling
Assist uninsured patients by providing financial counseling support and guidance
Perform general office tasks such as scanning, filing, faxing, and other administrative duties as needed
Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality in all patient-related processes
Utilize medical software and Microsoft Office tools to manage data and support operational needs
Ensure a high level of customer service while interacting with patients and healthcare professionals
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in patient scheduling, registration, and insurance verification
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare systems
Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
Nice to have:
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred
Customer service experience, particularly in a healthcare setting, is highly desirable
