Job Description:

Orleans Community Health Medina Hospital is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join our team located at Medina Hospital. A vital part of our Admissions Team, this position must demonstrate professionalism in both dress and speech, along with proper phone etiquette and must demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to serve the public!

Job Responsibility:

  • Check-in/out procedures for patients on multiple provider’s schedules
  • Collection, verification and system entry of patient and insurance information
  • Distribution of data
  • Collection of copays
  • Scheduling of all necessary testing
  • Obtaining authorizations from insurance companies
  • Telephone triage
  • Appointment scheduling

Requirements:

  • Keyboard experience (40-60 wpm)
  • High school diploma
  • supplemented with one (1) year of related medical office experience
  • Successful completion of an accredited medical office training program may be substituted for the required one (1) year medical office experience
  • Professional in attitude, conduct, and appearance
  • Knowledge of various insurance requirements and medical terminology
  • Verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal/human relations skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
