Job Description:

Orleans Community Health Medina Hospital is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join our team located at Medina Hospital. A vital part of our Admissions Team, this position must demonstrate professionalism in both dress and speech, along with proper phone etiquette and must demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to serve the public!

Job Responsibility:

Check-in/out procedures for patients on multiple provider’s schedules
Collection, verification and system entry of patient and insurance information
Distribution of data
Collection of copays
Scheduling of all necessary testing
Obtaining authorizations from insurance companies
Telephone triage
Appointment scheduling

Requirements:

Keyboard experience (40-60 wpm)
High school diploma
supplemented with one (1) year of related medical office experience
Successful completion of an accredited medical office training program may be substituted for the required one (1) year medical office experience
Professional in attitude, conduct, and appearance
Knowledge of various insurance requirements and medical terminology
Verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal/human relations skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
