Job Description:

This long-term contract position requires an individual with exceptional organizational skills who can efficiently handle patient registration, scheduling, and insurance processes in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth check-in and check-out procedures, maintaining accurate records, and supporting patients with financial and demographic updates.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct patient registration by gathering and verifying demographic and insurance information efficiently
  • Schedule appointments accurately while collaborating with clinical teams to accommodate patient needs and staff availability
  • Ensure all necessary authorizations and signatures are obtained during the registration process
  • Identify and address insurance eligibility, co-pay balances, and funding referrals in line with departmental policies
  • Maintain compliance with managed care requirements and healthcare regulations to ensure patient safety
  • Assist patients requiring specialized support, such as non-English speakers, hearing-impaired individuals, or those with disabilities
  • Monitor and update patient visit information using multiple applications to support timely processing
  • Document and reconcile financial and insurance information to ensure proper reimbursement for services
  • Check daily waitlists or recall lists, filling empty slots as needed to optimize scheduling
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and troubleshooting issues effectively

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in patient registration, scheduling, or healthcare administration
  • Strong knowledge of insurance policies, billing processes, and reimbursement requirements
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills to interact with diverse patient populations
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and applications in a high-pressure environment
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and managed care requirements
  • Proficiency in scheduling systems and financial reconciliation processes
  • Competency in handling confidential information with discretion

Nice to have:

Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are highly preferred
