This long-term contract position requires an individual with exceptional organizational skills who can efficiently handle patient registration, scheduling, and insurance processes in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth check-in and check-out procedures, maintaining accurate records, and supporting patients with financial and demographic updates.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct patient registration by gathering and verifying demographic and insurance information efficiently
Schedule appointments accurately while collaborating with clinical teams to accommodate patient needs and staff availability
Ensure all necessary authorizations and signatures are obtained during the registration process
Identify and address insurance eligibility, co-pay balances, and funding referrals in line with departmental policies
Maintain compliance with managed care requirements and healthcare regulations to ensure patient safety
Assist patients requiring specialized support, such as non-English speakers, hearing-impaired individuals, or those with disabilities
Monitor and update patient visit information using multiple applications to support timely processing
Document and reconcile financial and insurance information to ensure proper reimbursement for services
Check daily waitlists or recall lists, filling empty slots as needed to optimize scheduling
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and troubleshooting issues effectively
Requirements:
Proven experience in patient registration, scheduling, or healthcare administration
Strong knowledge of insurance policies, billing processes, and reimbursement requirements
Excellent customer service and communication skills to interact with diverse patient populations
Ability to manage multiple tasks and applications in a high-pressure environment
Familiarity with healthcare regulations and managed care requirements
Proficiency in scheduling systems and financial reconciliation processes
Competency in handling confidential information with discretion
Nice to have:
Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are highly preferred
