Job Description

This role, in collaboration with the Nursing Services Educators, contributes to the ongoing development of training related to job specific requirements. This role has a focus on delivery of nursing services staff job specific requirement training such as Mental Health Technician (MHT) onboarding training and waived testing training. This role also provides MHT preceptorship support on unit as indicated by the On-Site Nursing Educators.

Job Responsibility

  • Conducts staff training programs
  • Provides virtual and in-person training sessions
  • Conducts training most days, with a variety of content and audiences, bringing a high level of energy and training expertise to each training session
  • Provides on-site support to MHT staff during preceptorship as indicated by Nursing Services Education leader/On Site Nursing Services Educators
  • Ensures that all training materials and programs are current and delivered in compliance with regulatory requirements and per Rogers’ policy
  • As directed by Nursing Services Education leader, partakes in continuous improvement and review of content to meet needs of the organization
  • Maintains certifications and cross-training as indicated
  • Contributes to department projects as needed

Requirements

  • Associate degree OR six (6) years equivalent experience (group facilitation, training, and/or related behavioral health experience)
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a training/education or organizational development role preferred
  • Must be able to use group facilitation, classroom management, and intervention skills in both a virtual and live training setting
  • Strong ability to speak effectively in interpersonal situations and before large/small groups of employees, including executives and medical staff
  • Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF) Trainer for the State of Wisconsin (required after hire)
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention© (required after hire)
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Instructor Certification (required after hire)
  • Valid driver’s license. Must be granted insurable status by the Rogers Memorial Hospital insurance policy
  • Must be competent in Microsoft® Office and Microsoft® Office 365 applications such as Teams, Plans, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and have exceptional verbal, written and presentation/facilitation skills
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative team, following the standards of the Rogers Behavioral Agreements regarding communication and professionalism
