Graduate of Certified Nursing Attendant program or minimum 6 months relevant experience
BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification (Issued by the American Heart Association-AHA)
Graduate of Certified Nursing Attendant Program
Certified as a NYS State CNA
At least 6 months relevant experience
CNA graduate plus course completion in EKG & Phlebotomy and PCT certification eligible plus at least 6 months hospital exp, BLS. Must complete NYU’s PCT online program within 3 months of hire.

MediClear Certification (or equivalent HIPAA compliance certificate) required
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/BLS) – or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
Previous experience as a Patient Care Technician, Nursing Assistant, or similar direct patient care role preferred
Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-centered, team-oriented mindset
Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment and manage multiple priorities

Job Responsibility

Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and positioning to support procedures and recovery
Provide basic, non-medicated patient care such as hygiene support, dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
Keep patient rooms, hallways, and common areas clean, organized, and well-stocked
Manage supplies, equipment, and environmental logs to support infection control and safety
Communicate respectfully and clearly with patients, families, and the healthcare team
