We are looking for a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join our client's team in Mystic, Connecticut. In this contract position, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive exceptional care and support throughout their healthcare journey. This role requires strong organizational skills and a compassionate approach to interacting with patients.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate patient scheduling to ensure appointments are efficiently arranged and managed
Maintain and update patient medical records with accuracy and confidentiality
Assist patients with inquiries, providing clear guidance and support regarding their appointments and care
Facilitate the scheduling of various medical services and follow-ups
Check patients in and out, ensuring a seamless and attentive experience
Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers to promote effective communication
Monitor appointment calendars and address any conflicts or changes promptly
Provide administrative support to the healthcare team when needed
Ensure all patient-related documentation meets compliance standards
Requirements:
Proven experience in patient scheduling and appointment coordination
Familiarity with managing and maintaining medical records
Strong interpersonal skills to assist patients effectively and empathetically
Proficiency in using healthcare-related software and systems
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of confidentiality protocols and HIPAA regulations
Previous experience in a healthcare or medical setting preferred
