We are looking for a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team in Santa Maria, California. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a seamless and detail-oriented experience. Job Responsibility:
Greet and assist patients in a detail-oriented and courteous manner, addressing their inquiries and guiding them through the registration process
Manage appointment scheduling to ensure optimal efficiency and minimize patient wait times
Coordinate with insurance providers, including TRICARE and HealthCare.gov, to verify patient coverage and resolve any issues
Oversee hiring processes for front desk and administrative support roles to maintain a high-performing team
Utilize video conferencing tools to facilitate remote patient communication and team meetings
Collaborate with offshore teams to streamline administrative tasks and enhance workflow processes
Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards
Provide support in analyzing healthcare data using tools like R Code to improve operational decision-making
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and contribute to process improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Previous experience in a healthcare or front desk coordination role is highly preferred
Strong understanding of insurance processes, including TRICARE and HealthCare.gov
Proficiency with video conferencing tools and virtual communication platforms
Familiarity with healthcare data analysis tools such as R Code
Experience coordinating with offshore teams is a plus
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage a busy front desk environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff
Knowledge of hiring processes and team management practices
