We are looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to support daily front-office and patient service operations for a healthcare setting in Bluffton, South Carolina. This is a Contract position suited for someone who communicates professionally, stays organized in a fast-paced environment, and helps create a smooth experience for patients from arrival through follow-up. The ideal candidate will balance scheduling, records support, data entry, and phone-based assistance while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate patient appointments and maintain an efficient daily schedule for providers and clinical staff
Welcome patients, manage check-in activities, and guide them through routine administrative processes
Respond to incoming calls on a multi-line phone system and direct inquiries with professionalism and urgency
Update and maintain patient information in medical records systems with careful attention to detail
Enter administrative and billing-related data, including invoice information, accurately and on time
Assist patients with questions regarding appointments, documentation, and general office procedures
Monitor scheduling changes, resolve conflicts, and communicate updates clearly to patients and internal teams
Support smooth front-desk operations by handling routine clerical tasks and ensuring accurate documentation.
Requirements:
Prior experience in patient coordination, medical office support, or a similar healthcare administrative role
Working knowledge of appointment scheduling and front-desk patient service procedures
Experience handling patient medical records while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy
Strong computer skills, including precise data entry and comfort using office or healthcare systems
Ability to manage a multi-line phone system and communicate clearly with patients and staff
High level of organization with the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment
Detail-oriented interpersonal skills and a patient-focused approach to service.
