Job Description

Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care and other related technical and clinical support activities.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist with transporting patients, as needed
  • Monitors patient status and response
  • Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including but not limited to: monitoring vital signs, EKG testing, phlebotomy, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output
  • Assists with keeping patient rooms/areas stocked, clean and orderly
  • Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and eating

Requirements

  • No Degree or any other education earned (Required)
  • BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE)
  • BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS)
  • Three (3) months of patient care experience demonstrating the ability to perform basic patient care or certification of completion from formal training program required
  • EKG and phlebotomy competencies are required within six (6) months of hire date
