Job Responsibility:
Handle hospital billing and collections processes, including inpatient and outpatient claims
Manage the resolution of denied claims and appeals across Medicare, managed care, and commercial insurance providers
Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments within hospital revenue cycles
Collaborate with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies and secure reimbursements
Utilize knowledge of HMO and PPO plans to navigate complex billing scenarios effectively
Provide training and support to entry-level collectors as needed
Conduct thorough account reviews to identify outstanding balances and address payment issues
Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and billing guidelines
Communicate with patients and providers to clarify billing concerns and payment plans
Prepare detailed reports on collection activities and outcomes for management review
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in hospital billing and collections
Proficiency in managing Medicare, managed care, and commercial insurance claims
Strong understanding of hospital revenue cycle processes, including inpatient and outpatient billing
Expertise in handling medical denials and appeals
Familiarity with HMO and PPO insurance plans
Ability to analyze and resolve account discrepancies effectively
