Baptist Medical Center is currently hiring for a Full-Time Days Patient Access Supervisor to join our PAS Call Center Department at our Southbank Plaza location here in Jacksonville, FL area. Shift Details: Monday through Friday 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM. This Patient Access Supervisor will be located at Baptist Southbank Plaza.

Job Responsibility:

  • Registering patients accurately and efficiently
  • Utilizating multiple systems and interfaces
  • Cross-Training in order to work in multiple patient access areas
  • Maintaining service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
  • Contributing to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
  • Possessing a strong understanding and able to explain State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
  • Maintaining a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members including peer leaders in other departments
  • Articulating compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
  • Maintaining patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Assisting in the On-Call rotation for the assigned area including staffing as needed
  • Providing daily leadership to the assigned department in coordination with the PAS Manager

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required

  • 1-2 years Insurance Experience Required
  • 1-2 years Scheduling Experience Required
  • 1-2 years Patient Access Services Experience Required

  • 1-2 years Leadership Experience Required
  • Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) Required Or Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Required
