We are looking for a dedicated Patient Access Specialist to join our team in Evansville, Indiana. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient registration and access processes while delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare teams.
Job Responsibility:
Facilitate patient registration by gathering and verifying necessary information, including insurance and medical coverage details
Provide clear and accurate information to patients regarding their billing, deductibles, copays, and financial options
Schedule appointments efficiently and manage inbound and outbound calls to address patient inquiries
Assist patients in understanding clinical trial protocols and optimize patient access procedures
Perform receptionist duties, including clerical tasks, typing, and documentation, to support daily operations
Ensure accurate labeling and documentation in accordance with established protocols and procedures
Use computer systems to input and retrieve patient data while maintaining confidentiality and compliance
Support call center operations by addressing patient concerns and resolving issues promptly
Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient access and streamline processes
Conduct ad hoc financial tasks as needed to assist patients with their accounts
Requirements:
Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare or call center setting
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly to patients
Proficiency in scheduling systems and computer applications used for patient registration
Familiarity with insurance policies, deductibles, copays, and billing procedures
Ability to perform clerical duties, including typing and documentation, with accuracy and efficiency
Detail-oriented and highly organized to manage multiple tasks effectively
Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Nice to have:
Knowledge of clinical trial operations and protocols is a plus
