We are looking for a Patient Access Specialist to join our client's team in Evansville, Indiana for a contract to permanent opportunity. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring efficient patient registration processes while delivering exceptional customer service. This is a long-term contract position ideal for professionals who excel in communication, organization, and handling insurance-related tasks.
Job Responsibility:
Facilitate patient registration by gathering accurate personal and insurance information
Provide outstanding customer service, addressing patient inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Manage scheduling and appointments, ensuring optimal coordination for clinical visits
Handle inbound and outbound calls to assist patients with insurance coverage details, billing, and copay information
Maintain detailed documentation of interactions and processes in computer systems
Support financial tasks, including deductible calculations and ad hoc reporting
Ensure compliance with established protocols and procedures during patient registration
Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize trial operations and administrative workflows
Perform receptionist duties, including greeting patients and managing front desk activities
Assist in labeling, paperwork, and clerical tasks to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare or call center setting
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members
Proficiency in scheduling and managing appointments using computer systems
Familiarity with insurance processes, including deductibles, copays, and medical coverage
Ability to perform clerical tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
Competence in handling financial documentation and calculations
Knowledge of clinical trial operations and adherence to protocols is advantageous
Typing skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
