We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Patient Access Specialist to join our healthcare client’s team. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients, helping ensure a smooth and efficient registration and intake process while delivering a high level of service.
Job Responsibility:
Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
Perform patient registration, intake, and demographic verification
Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements
Collect and update patient information accurately in electronic health record systems
Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow as needed
Explain forms, policies, and financial responsibilities to patients
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations and organizational procedures
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support efficient operations and a positive patient experience
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
associate degree preferred
1+ years of experience in patient access, medical registration, medical front desk, or a related healthcare administrative role preferred
Familiarity with insurance verification, scheduling, and patient intake processes
Experience with electronic medical records systems such as Epic is a plus
Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism
Nice to have:
