Our client is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to support front-end patient operations and help deliver an excellent patient experience. This role is responsible for handling patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and intake processes while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong customer service. Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Job Responsibility:
Register patients accurately and efficiently in the system
Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, and demographic information
Schedule appointments and coordinate patient intake activities
Obtain required authorizations, referrals, and supporting documentation
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure data integrity
Respond to patient questions regarding forms, appointments, and general processes
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support smooth patient flow
Follow established policies related to confidentiality, compliance, and records management
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in patient access, medical registration, healthcare administration, or a related role
Familiarity with insurance verification and patient intake procedures
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Proficiency with electronic medical records and scheduling systems
