Patient Access Representative II

• Accurately register all patients and update demographic and insurance information for maintenance of accurate information
• Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually
• Collect co-payments, self-pay deposits, and any other form of account payments from patients
• Provides face to face customer service while communicating in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the PAS department, while Mission and core values are incorporated and practiced
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Receives and disseminates clinical information as indicated
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Certification
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
• 1-2 years Insurance Experience Required
• 1-2 years Healthcare Experience Required
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Preferred
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
