Welcomes and initiates contact with patient families to obtain necessary registration and insurance information. Registers patients by following established department guidelines. Ensure that all patient accounts flow through the revenue cycle without errors caused by lack of insurance verification, incomplete or inaccurate demographic information or other registration-related errors.

Ensure that all patient accounts flow through the revenue cycle without errors caused by lack of insurance verification, incomplete or inaccurate demographic information or other registration-related errors
Communicate timely with patients, families, and staff to ensure seamless access throughout the delivery of care
Actively greet patient families, engaging them before they engage us to ensure a positive first contact
Support clinic flow, monitoring patient location, communicating waiting room placement and wait time
Engage with Interpreter services when indicated
Enter all registration information (demographic and insurance) accurately and completely
Scan registration documents as needed
Obtain patient/family signatures and collect co-pays/ outstanding balances
Facilitate self-check in process through Welcome Kiosks and concierge module
Positively identify patients and actively engage with families utilizing self-service options
Follow proper infection prevention protocols and check for isolation and infection prevention alerts and notifications
Requirements:
High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) Required
1+ years of experience in customer service Required
Epic experience Preferred
Prior experience in a healthcare setting Preferred
