We are looking for a dedicated Patient Access Facilitator to join our healthcare team in Danbury, Connecticut. In this role, you will handle essential processes related to patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to contribute significantly to the efficiency and quality of patient care.
Job Responsibility:
Manage patient registration by collecting and updating demographic and insurance information promptly and accurately
Facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring all required signatures and authorizations are obtained
Schedule and reschedule patient appointments in coordination with clinical staff and facility availability
Assist patients with specific needs, including language barriers, hearing difficulties, or physical disabilities
Verify insurance coverage and eligibility using online systems and ensure proper documentation for reimbursement
Maintain compliance with managed care policies and stay informed about changes in insurance regulations
Monitor and manage waitlists or recall lists to fill appointment slots efficiently
Ensure patient accounts meet registration requirements by completing checklists and reviewing productivity reports
Act as a liaison to support patients and protect the financial integrity of the hospital
Utilize multiple systems and applications to ensure seamless processing of patient visits
Requirements:
Previous experience in patient registration, scheduling, or related roles in a healthcare setting
Strong knowledge of medical insurance verification processes and third-party payer systems
Proficiency in using online eligibility tools and healthcare applications
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage high volumes of patient data
Outstanding communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff
Familiarity with managed care requirements and healthcare regulations
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and demanding environment
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and data security
