Under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor and Patient Access Lead and working in an independent manner, the Patient Access Admin will assist in ensuring patients are efficiently scheduled in the department. The Patient Access Admin will support multiple physicians. Assist with continuity and coordination of care by scheduling all patient appointments from consultation to follow-up. Using sound judgment, will independently set priorities, meet established deadlines and work effectively in a high volume environment. Will provide support to all Patient Services functions as needed. Adaptability will be necessary, as the individual will help fill in and complete tasks based on staffing. Main duties will be patient access related; scheduling patients for consults, simulations, or follow up appointments. Obtaining outside records and superb communication with patients.

Requirements:
Three (3) years of experience of administrative experience in a large, complex health case system or relevant experience
Experience with EPIC and Cadence electronic health record systems
Strong scheduling and registration skills
Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
Excellent written and verbal skills and customer service skills
Ability to interact with physicians, employees, patients, and family members in a professional manner at all times
Ability to prioritize, adapt to constant change, multi-task and work independently without direct supervision
Ability to anticipate problems, and ability to resolve them in a timely and professional manner
Manage complex calendars, schedule meetings and appointments
executing, coordinating, and managing event planning for programs, special events, meetings, and conferences
Experience analyzing and identifying problems, independently resolve discrepancies with ability to recommend solutions, effectively participate in short and long term planning for administrative needs of unit
Proven ability to work independently with minimum supervision, establish priorities, follow through on tasks to completion, and meet deadlines in an environment of multiple interruptions and changing priorities while maintaining a high degree of judgment and clarity
