Job Description:

As a Pathology Collector Team Leader, you will ensure the highest level of service at all times to our patients and clients, in both the hospital and outpatient settings. You will ensure specimen integrity is maintained and patient care is at the centre of everything you do.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collect blood and non-blood samples with accuracy, care, and professionalism
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records for every patient and specimen collected
  • Prepare, label, and package specimens to ensure safe and timely transport to the laboratory
  • Manage efficient, fair, and cost-effective staff rostering to meet workload and quality requirements
  • Oversee ordering of consumables and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant work environment
  • Support the selection, onboarding, training, and competency assessment of staff as required
  • Perform On-Call duties, responding to staff phone calls and operational needs
  • Oversee and manage timesheet entries for team members
  • Assist the Home Visit Department when required
