Job Responsibility

Operate docketing system, accurately creating and maintaining records for domestic and international patents
Verify the accuracy and completeness of all docketed deadlines and actions, ensuring timely updates and compliance
Process and update systems based on communications received from the USPTO, clients, attorneys, foreign associates, and annuity service providers
Provide timely updates on docketing changes to relevant stakeholders in line with company policies
Collaborate with legal teams to ensure all patent-related deadlines are met without exceptions
Perform thorough quality reviews of docketing data to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors
Manage vendor instructions related to annuity payments and international patent deadlines to ensure timely processing
Stay informed on changes to patent laws, rules, and procedures that impact docketing processes
Generate detailed reports using PATTSY WAVE and Global IP Estimator to support operational needs and decision-making

2-3 years of intellectual property experience, including using an IP practice management system in a law firm or IP corporate legal department setting

Job Responsibility

Reviewing client dockets for upcoming deadlines, preparing correspondence to clients notifying them of deadlines and the requirements therefor, and following up with them as needed
Preparing electronic forms for trademark filings in the USPTO, including trademark applications, responses to office actions, extensions, statements of use, declarations of use and incontestability, applications for renewal, and specimens of trademark use
