We are seeking a Patent Litigation Associate with 2+ years of patent litigation experience and a technology or life sciences background to join a nationally recognized corporate practice in Miami. The ideal candidate will have experience handling patent disputes in district court or ITC proceedings, including Markman hearings, technical analysis, and discovery management. Job Responsibility:
Handle preparation and trial of patent litigation matters
Conduct technical analysis of products, patents, and infringement issues
Draft pleadings, motions, and complex legal briefs
Manage and oversee discovery processes and document production
Prepare and defend depositions and work closely with expert witnesses
Support Markman hearings and claim construction strategy
Collaborate with cross-functional legal teams and contribute to case strategy
Requirements:
JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
Admission to practice in CA, MA, NY, or DC (or ability to waive in)
2+ years of patent litigation experience
Experience in district court and/or ITC proceedings
Technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field OR life sciences background (biology, immunology, biochemistry, etc.)
Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
Professional presence and ability to interact with clients effectively
